CD: Ahazeej Arabic Nursery Rhymes, 32 Children's Songs & Poems

"Ahazeej Arabic Nursery Rhymes," is a collection of 32 popular Arabic rhymes from different parts of the Arab world. The aim of the project is to preserve these traditional Arabic rhymes and make them accessible to young parents of today. Most of the rhymes have well-known melodies that were kept -with slight modernization- while others were newly composed to bring out the spirit of each rhyme. Since these rhymes were transmitted orally from mother to child many of them were getting lost due to changing lifestyles and the passage of time.
