Alphabet Flashcards are the perfect tool to introduce children to the letters of the alphabet in a fun way. They are incredibly versatile and can be used in a variety of different ways to develop children's literacy skills, from learning the letters to using the picture side to learn first words. Some fun games you can play with flashcards are: 1- Find The Sound of The Letter Randomly place cards in front of the child with the picture-side face-up.
Clearly and slowly make the sound of one of the letters, for example, Ffffff. The child has to find the picture that represents the sound like "farasha" and then flip it to show and enunciate the letter the sound represents found on the other side. The game can also be played by showing the letter face up.
The Parent mentions the character and the child has to pick the appropriate letter card. 2- Find An Object That Begins With This Sound Place the flashcards in a bag and ask the child to draw one card and find an object in the house that starts with that letter. If the child is successful they get to keep the card. The winner is the one who has the most cards.
This fun game can be played with more than one child, with parent and child, or with the whole family! 3- Guess The Letter The child picks a card and does not show it to others then he/she has to draw something that begins with the letter they picked. The winner is the one with the most cards! 4- Rearrange The Cards The Flashcards are shuffled and then laid down in front of the child who has to arrange them in alphabetical order while listening and singing along the Adam & Mishmish alphabet song. This game will surely bring lots of giggles and laughter while trying to arrange the cards to the song beat.
