The following are some of our clients and short description of each project:  

Intel Teach to the Future (Jordan - Egypt)

We have completed translation and DTP of Intel's "Teach to the Future" manual. Intel sent us the source Quark Express files, PDF files and images on CDs. We used our computer aided translation program and terminology management to complete translation. Deliverables were PDF. In addition, we translated the program sample files which include student web sites, Power Point presentations and Word documents. 

Lucent Technologies (USA)

Translating the Operation and User's manuals of their 5E telecommunication product for one of their clients in Saudi Arabia. The word count of the project was 2.4 million words. The files were in SGML format. We have added an SGML parser to our Computer Aided Translation (CAT) program to handle this type of files. We created a huge translation memory of the whole project to be used in translation future updates. We also completed three updates on this project by using existing translation memories and glossaries. 

Sony Gulf (UAE)

Translation of their web site http://www.sony-middleeast.com/ as a one-time project. The project includes translation of web pages, handling scripts, text direction, translating graphics and creating Arabic Flash files.

After finishing the Arabic web site, they signed annual contract with Sakhr to translate the updates on their web site. 

Bank of Alexandria (Egypt)

Transliteration from Arabic to English of databases that contain the names and addresses of bank clients. The challenge here is that they need the translated databases in a very short turnaround time while maintaining a high level of accuracy. We used our transliteration module (which is a part of Sakhr Enterprise Translation system) to translate the files and then professional translators revised the output and created a glossary that contains a huge number of names.
