Supports any TWAIN or ISIS scanner Ibsar comprises a number of applications that are intended to help the blind through scanning paper documents and then reading and printing them on Braille printers, as well as allowing them to know the meanings and synonyms of Arabic/English words… etc. Additionally, it comprises a tutorial that trains the beginners on using the keyboard. Here are two of the most important applications integrated in Ibsar:

Documents Reader is an advanced program for reading books and documents through the integration of OCR (Optical Character Recognition) and TTS (Text To Speech) technologies. Using the OCR technology, scanned documents' content is recognized and converted into text and the TTS technology is used to read this Arabic/English text naturally and clearly. Documents Reader also comprises a user-friendly files' organizer, a bilingual (Arabic/English) dictionary and a spelling checker. Additionally, users can edit, search within, save and print the resulting texts using any normal or Braille printers.

2. TUTORIAL

This program teaches the beginners on using the computer's keyboard, writing characters, words, and sentences, and performing different writing functions. It contains four progressive levels for beginners to teach them how to use the keyboard in English and Arabic, and how to handle the basic computer tasks
