Start off with the "Introduction" section of Egyptian Hieroglyphs Made Easy.  First, you'll view "Getting Started"  - a short movie explaining how to best use this CD - including many helpful hints.

Next, view our tutorials "The Egyptian Language" a brief historical overview; "Vowels;" "Nouns and Adjectives;" "Sentences;" and "Determinatives."  Each movie will guide you through introductory material with beautiful, artistic animations that are both fun and educational.  They are presented in a way that is easy to understand.  Each movie is made available in written form in the "Help" menu and can be read at any time during the program and may be printed as well.

Lessons 1-5 further your understanding of the ancient Egyptian hieroglyphic language.  Each lesson has the following sections:

The grammar section is your on-line "book" - it may even be printed! (See the "Print" link above to learn more).
While in the program, you can easily open this up in a smaller window for your convenience (shown below) and/or
have your printed version available for reference as well.  The grammar for each lesson is the focus of the exercises
for that lesson.  A fun and easy way to learn!

 In the vocabulary section, each word is said twice - you repeat after the tutor.  As a sign is read, it is highlighted, then
the transliteration and the meaning are shown.  

Each line of six is equal to one exercise making it easier to repeat a certain word or words.   The final exercise randomly
highlights a sign - you must read it in ancient Egyptian, then give the meaning, before the tutor!

Next, test your knowledge of the vocabulary just learned.  Select the appropriate button.  You have three tries for each word. 

Finally, each lesson has one to three exercises that range from fun quizzes in multiple choice form, constructing sentences or dictation.
