Arabic AS101 Beginners 2


This is an introductory course to Modern Standard Arabic.
It is organized as follows. First, words related to specific
themes are given. Then, those words are used in daily
situations. Finally, a grammar analysis of the sentences
is laid out. Emphasis is equally given to comprehension
skills (listening and reading) as well as to production skills (speaking and writing). At the end of the course students
should be able to communicate fairly well on limited every
day life situations. They will have a clear understanding of
the basic structures of Modern Standard Arabic.
Mastery of more than 600 words is expected.

course, learners are exposed to authentic texts and no
simplification takes place.

 

At the end of the course students should be able to be
read and understand newspaper articles covering topics
similar to those introduced in this course. The course
takes learners beyond every day life conversation into
professional topics.
